That is right, those night sights that you haven’t seen on Brownells quite yet, the XS Sights F8 Night Sights, are up for review on Firearm Rack! Remember when I launched the YouTube channel a while back that I said that I would never rush a review? This is one of the rare opportunities for me to thoroughly review a product before it is on store shelves for you guys to purchase.
If you want to pick up a set of XS Sights F8 Sights for your gun use the code RACK10 to get 10% off your purchase on the XS Sights website.
Huge thanks to XS Sights for letting us be a part of the product development process and the chance to put these sights through the ringer before any of our viewers or readers spend money on something that might not fit their needs.
That said, these sights are freaking excellent.
So excellent in fact that I have installed them on three of my own guns including the Glock 17C Gen 4 that normally lives on my nightstand with a Surefire X300U-A slapped on the light rail. While I have been fortunate enough to not need to use the sights in a low light setting, I have been able to run them in a shoot house with the lights dimmed and found that when the front dot is charged, it is darn near red dot good.

The video below has my full review of the sights after 4 months of use and abuse on my personal firearms. Several small changes were made to the original prototypes as a result of our work with XS Sights which really showed me that they are serious about getting the best sights on the market for serious shooters.
Enough babbling, watch the video!
Looks a lot like the Ameriglo I-Dot Pro.
Only it’s more expensive.
They have some added features like resistance to chemicals and a glow in the dark front dot. The I-Dots can be killed with some gun scrubber where the F8s can’t.
That said, I like both for different reasons.
Patrick, What do you mean by a charged front sight. I assume they have tritium, but do they have additional phosphor elements?
The paint on the dot glows in the dark.
